If I could live as long as a tree, can’t believe what I’d see If I could live as long as a tree, observe the change through history I’d witness generations of families leave behind their legacy If I could stand as tall as a tree, look past life’s hostilities If I could stand as tall as a tree, make a haven for all to be I’d nourish and protect birds and animals bring shelter and spread fruit and seeds And I’d reach out my long arms And learn how to give Helping others to fend off harm So every life here can live For as long as there’s room for me If I could breath as clear as a tree, exhale the air ‘til it’s clean If I could breath as clear as a tree, absorb the fumes from gasoline I’d alter and adapt with the seasons maintain cycles of life sustainably Firmly planting my roots down Even though I might creak And my branches will shade the ground Swaying free with the breeze So be sure to make room for me

That Star 03:16
That Star If I keep wishing upon the shimmering light of that star hung up On foothill’s edge tossed up like coin Clear my mind and meditate to sacred places so safe Change enough particles to send Undulating molecular waves, seismic ripples into the thread Of everything And to create desired fate There is control, it’s time to grip the helm and steer back on course Of clarity make everything I’ve ever dreamed as real as sitting here reflective and held Transfixed in this forever gaze Never never again will I take anything in this forsaken life For granted If I have faith upon that star That star looked on me as I winked back, oh That star my new symbol for the universe ‘round me That star to renew belief beyond my self That star to keep me safe and help me to find my peace And from afar across expanse of crystal valley it sat A shining beacon full of hope And just like life it will exhaust all energy in time And say goodnight and burn out bright

And when I rise to leave my chair I make it seem that I’m still there As though I’ll be right back- in a flash And when I turn to leave a room I stop and stammer like a fool Trail off mutter on cue- as I bid adieu No promise that I won’t return ‘Cause I cannot commit to say forever But it may be I won’t ever again be seen And so I’ll never say goodbye If I choose to move and relocate Silently I will fly no trace Nor vestige of my face, just a clean escape No promise that I won’t return ‘Cause I cannot commit to say forever But it may be I won’t ever again be seen And so I’ll never say goodbye All my possessions have grown too much And I’ve amassed so much cluttered junk that weighs me down All the bags fall into place along the way When I lie my final time in bed For once I just might get some rest I’ll not be gone instead- I will just play dead

Christian's Lullaby Close your eyes and let sand sprinkle in Drift away let your dreams begin Take a ride and journey inside your imagination And I'll be by your side Yes, I'll be by your side So sleep little child Close your eyes and count floating sheep Lose conscious thought 'til you fall fast asleep Don't make a sound and don't move around 'til your dreaming deep Tomorrow's far away So far away And it's a brand new day Follow your heart and follow your soul And you'll learn your part and your role In life, to be loved and love in return It's all a game to learn Close your eyes and let love fill your soul Open your mind 'til you close every hole Reach for your dreams but never give up 'til you score every goal And things will work out right Yes, things will work out right So fall asleep tonight Close your eyes and wipe off your tears Dry them before you drown in your fears Sail away to oceans and bays 'til it all disappears There's nothing left to say No, nothing left to say So sleep where you lay Follow your heart and follow your soul And you'll learn your part and your role In life, to care and do what's right For now, just sleep tight Good Night
